Ahh, tis the season. I love the season. The season is great. There is no other season of the year when you get to watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story and Elf all in one day’s sitting while sipping eggnog on the couch in your onesies adult pajamas. (Okay, timeout, if you own a pair of onesie pajamas, go ahead and put a notch in the column of AWESOME in your life, you deserve it.)
One of the greatest things about the Christmas season is the simple fact that people who will never step foot in a church are more likely to come than any other time of the year. It is an amazing opportunity to put the gospel front and center in the lives of people who will never consider it any of the other 51 weeks of the year. That’s exactly why we do our Christmas Eve Service here at The Summit Church. We want to put the gospel on display for those who do not know the glories of King Jesus.
The gospel will be preached, we’ll worship Jesus and we’ll have fun! Here’s our challenge to each one of you; bring someone with you. God wants to use you in the story of salvation in the life of someone you know, and this could be a pinnacle chapter in the life of that person. .
