The gospel of King Jesus must be advanced, no matter what the cost. For many throughout history, it has come at the cost of their lives, and for others it’s been at the cost of having their families reject them. Either way, it cost the believer something.
Hey Student Pastor, how are you raising up a generation of young men and women who want to be revolutionaries of this great advancement of the gospel? Are you providing outlets for students to grow, be equipped, dream and do? Or does your student ministry look more like an institution inside a set of walls that meets together weekly and looks more like a gathering of 2nd Century Pharisees rejoicing in their love of “doing?”
All great movements have started with one act of defiance. It starts with the gospel. Defy the American dream for your students. Show them that the gospel calls us all to something so much greater than retiring in an RV off the coast of Florida. Show them God’s HEART for THE NATIONS and GIVE them OPPORTUNITIES to be a part of it.
They want it. They want it no matter what the cost. Give it to them or get out of the way.
