What a Weekend

It’s not a revolution. It’s not an awakening. It’s a mandate. We are ONE body working together towards ONE goal; the fame of Christ Jesus.

Our Fall Retreat was phenomenal. Students met with Jesus and God did business with our hearts. New relationships were formed, existing relationships were strengthened and walls were torn down. I am so thankful to serve alongside an amazing studentLIFE leadership team that helped pull this thing off. Without a team of leaders who are committed to the glory of God, the health of the community and the lives of students, our ministry fails. To read another Pastor’s perspective on our studentLIFE leadership team, read here. Thanks for coming along with us Franks, you were an amazing leader this weekend as well.

The great thing about camp is not necessarily camp itself, but rather the relationships and discipleship that takes place AFTER camp is over. The great challenge is not the planning and executing of the camp, no matter what the experts tell you. No, the challenge is the return home. The challenge is the discipleship process that MUST take place to get students walking with Jesus on a daily basis.

Leaders, keep up the great work you are doing in the lives of these students. Point them to Jesus, walk with them, hurt with them, rejoice with them and do life with them. The challenge of being ONE community begins now.
